LOVE DAY

I Love Valentine's Day! This year Valentine's Day fell on Thursday and on Thursday we go to coop or Thursday school. All the coop kids were asked to make a Valentine's box to take to coop. Prizes would be given to those who made the best boxes. My kids always get very passionate and excited about these kind of things and they insist on making it into a really big ordeal. So we researched our boxes and made a plan. However, life happened - A LOT- during the two weeks leading up to Valentine's day - that added to the fact that we live 45 minutes away from Walmart and the nearest craft store so it is not easy to just go get any supplies we may not have. So needless to say, we did not get to start on our boxes until the day before coop. I had gotten a little anxious because we really could not start them until that day and they had pretty elaborate plans for their boxes. We did prevail though!!!!! and we didn't even stay up all night doing it!!! Thank goodness for MA who came to help or we would have never gotten everything done that day. I had three casseroles that Cambry was selling and two cobblers to make that day - plus the four Valentine's boxes - plus preparing and getting stuff together to teach my coop class - Whew!!!! Yes I am glad that day is behind me!
Here are the finished results.......

Seth found the Jello

February 4, 2013

Silly, Sneaky Seth at it again........
Seth found another cabinet to investigate - the cabinet where the Jello WAS kept (I say was because after today - it was moved to a much higher place)
I was washing dishes at the kitchen sink and he was playing behind me. He had gotten very quiet (so quiet that I didn't even know he was still behind me) I thought he had gone to play with his brothers in their room. He was hiding in the very small corner of the refrigerator and the cabinet. He found the Jello and while hiding in his corner he proceeded to chew the Jello package open. It was not until I heard a SWOOSH (the sound of the dry powder crashing to the floor) and then "WU WOOOO" (Seth's Uh Oh - drawn out) that I turned to see this!

Oh..my... sweet Seth!

February 1, 2013

It's something new everyday with my sweet Seth! He is so very curious and always finding something to explore or "help" with. This day he found the Vaseline!!! He hid himself and stayed quiet - even when I called him to find him because he was quiet.  I of course found him - with Vaseline all over himself - and the carpet - and the walls - and my chair - but he had so much fun feeling this slimy gooey stuff :0

Oh the silly faces of my sweet baby boy!
And when he's "caught" he is quick and honest to admit with a huge smile on his face and the sweetest voice -
 "I  DI  IT!"

Bryan was about this age - I'm told - when he also found some vaseline - I will find the picture of him to post together - like Father like Son - Oh my Stars!!!

Seth helping to clean the house

January 23, 2013

Seth thought he needed to help around the house - I really think he sees his brothers and sister helping with house work and he thinks he needs to help too.

He started by cleaning the cabinet out :)

Then he decided to do some laundry :)

And he thought the floor needed to be swept :)

And finally he wiped down the oven!

Whew - made me tired just watching him - but I'm so thankful for all my little hard workers!
